Proverbs 15:33 (NLT) “Fear of the Lord teaches wisdom; humility precedes honor.”

Wow! As many are celebrating pride, what an important reminder that true wisdom and honor come from a humble humility.

The “fear of the Lord” signifies a deep reverence and respect for God. It also understands that God disciplines His children, He calls the shots, He makes the rules, not the other way around.  

The “fear of the Lord” instructs us in wisdom. As we acknowledge God’s greatness and submit to His will, we gain a deeper understanding of His ways and the world we live in. The problem with the world today is that it looks inward and outward, but not upward. When we humbly fear God, we see things from His perspective and make decisions that honor Him and in the long run…benefit us.

Humility is being convinced of our fallen nature.  Without humility we can never see our need for the Savior!
