Psalm 138:6 (NLT) “Though the Lord is great, He cares for the humble, but He keeps His distance from the proud.”

If you would – – take a moment to consider (to imagine) how great God is! The Maker and Maintainer of the universe, all 200 billion galaxies, how “high” is His throne? How glorious, how grand, how great is God?

Now, take a moment to consider the fact that this great God of the universe sees you, He loves you, He’s with you as you’re reading these words. He cares for you…His humble people.

The humble have acknowledged their need for a Savior and have submitted themselves to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. The humble have a heart to obey God in every thought we think, every word we speak, in all that we do (or don’t do), in all that we are. The simplicity of humility.

The proud don’t have this relationship with God. They may have ALL the world has to offer, but that will NEVER satisfy the human soul. What an everlasting difference between the humble and the proud!
