James 3:13 (NLT) “If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.”

The wisdom of the world exalts a pride that is rooted in doing what they want to do, and in being who they want to be.

The wisdom from above is rooted in a life that honors God.

Am I wise? Do I understand God’s ways? James challenges us to prove it through humble obedience to God. This comes from wisdom which can be defined as “the proper application of knowledge.”

It’s sad to see the sexual devolution taking place. The world is transferring the sexual standard of power from God to us, and it’s a tragedy. Our sexuality should not be defined by us, or our feelings, our sexual standards should be governed by God – this is the very antithesis to pride…this is true humility.

God help us to humble ourselves.
