Isaiah 66:2b (NIV) “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my Word.”

Of all the passages we will be looking at this month, Isaiah 66:2 may be one of the most important of all.

As the world celebrates pride, we advocate for humility, and a HUGE part of humility is what we read in this passage…trembling at God’s Word.

Trembling at God’s Word simply means that we read the Bible and receive it as the final authority of right and wrong. Right and wrong is not determined by culture, of personal experience or opinion, right and wrong is revealed in the Bible.

As God’s creatures, we should humble ourselves before Him, and reverence His Word, even to the point of trembling at His truth.
